Securing the Future of Gamma Tau
For over 75 years, the Gamma Tau chapter of Theta Chi has stood as a testament to resilience, brotherhood, and excellence at Drake University. In 2016, we took a monumental leap forward by opening the doors to our state-of-the-art chapter house at 1320 34th Street. Today, we are launching the most ambitious fundraising effort in our history to permanently secure that home: The Legacy & Leadership Capital Campaign.
Our goal is to raise $2.4 million. Achieving this target will allow us to completely eliminate our remaining mortgage, granting Gamma Tau full ownership of our property. Furthermore, it will establish a dedicated endowment to fund future structural repairs, modern updates, and technology enhancements—ensuring our home remains a premier asset on the Drake campus for generations to come.
Paying off the house does more than just secure bricks and mortar. By removing the heavy financial burden of a monthly mortgage, the Alumni Corporation can redirect resources directly toward undergraduate scholarships, leadership development, and recruitment. This campaign is our opportunity to grant Gamma Tau complete financial independence and ensure that Theta Chi remains the strongest brotherhood at Drake.
